During her visit to Israel in February 2026, Julia Klöckner, President of the German Bundestag, invited Professor Yifat Bitton, founder of the RAIA Project, to a meeting focused on the project’s work and the findings of its report. During the meeting, Klöckner received a copy of the RAIA Report, which documents and analyzes the sexual crimes committed during the October 7 terrorist attack.
The President of the Bundestag thanked Professor Bitton and the project team for their work and emphasized its global significance. She further stated that Germany would examine the possibility of joining the initiative led jointly by the RAIA Project and the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) to develop an international toolkit for first responders operating at terrorist attack scenes where sexual crimes have been committed or are suspected to have been committed.
